If you’re looking for something different for your next fitness challenge, something other than a fun run, colour run or bruising obstacle race, look no further than Stadium Stomp SCG. It’s damn tough at a pace, scenic at a stroll and an amazing experience all round.
There are course options for everyone – full course (6,700 steps), short course (4,000 steps) and for those who want to stomp until they drop – Stomp Unlimited is for you.
Choose your own start time when you register but be advised, early wave times fill quickly.
Stadium Stomp SCG is not just for Sydney locals but a great excuse for anyone to come and experience this world famous city.
We encourage all our participants to fundraise for charity. Choose a charity close to your heart and start fundraising today! Fundraising is not mandatory but a great way to make every step count.
Please ensure you have signed your e-waiver. If you registered and paid for yourself you would have done this as a matter of course as part of the process. If you were paid for by someone else you may not have signed. You can check this by logging into your Active Account.
Transferring registrations – If you can no longer attend it is possible to transfer your registration. Please check the FAQ’s page under REGISTRATION for instructions.
Gates will open at 7:00am. On arrival at the SCG, head toward Gate A, near the Members Pavilion and then follow the signs to the MA Noble Stand plaza.
All event day action (registration, bib collection, marshalling, warm up area, etc.) will be stationed within the MA Noble Stand plaza.
We recommend arriving 45 minutes prior to your wave time so you have plenty of time to collect your event bib and any pre-purchased merchandise, drop off your bags, warm up and enjoy the Stomp Expo.
Conditions of Entry
Pursuant to SCG regulations your bags may be searched before entry. There are also certain items that are not permitted within the SCG. You can view these items by clicking here.
Wave times commence from 8am with new waves every 15 minutes until 11:00am. You will be released from the start line in smaller groups throughout each wave to ensure minimal congestion on the stairs.
Your bib number will indicate to us which wave time you should be in and our MC will be on loud speaker to call up each wave time to the marshalling area as required. Listen out for these.
Warm-up and marshalling
You will be called to marshal 15 minutes before your wave time. A limited number of stationary bikes will be available external to the marshalling area for you to warm up on and fitness trainers will conduct a fun, quick warm up routine for your wave before you stomp.
You’ll need ID or your registration confirmation email for collection. You can re-email your confirmation from your login dashboard.
Bibs and pre-paid merchandise will NOT be posted and will be available from:
- Pre event: TBA
- Event Day: TBA (outside the MA Noble Stand)
Collecting for a friend?
If you are collecting for a friend please have their e-ticket or a text message from them to show us that they approve or you collecting on their behalf.
Merchandise will be available to purchase (pending availability) at the pre-collection times and on the day. We recommend purchasing your merchandise when you register to ensure that you have a full range of sizes and styles available to you before they sell out.
Transport & parking
The SCG is located on Driver Avenue in Moore Park, next to Centennial Park.
We strongly encourage you to use public transport on the day, as this is the best way to get to the SCG. Your closest train station is Central Station, which is about a 1.2km walk from the SCG. However you can also catch a bus from Central Station. See the SCG website for bus route information.
Car parking is available at the Entertainment Quarter (southern end Driver Ave) as well as metered parking along Driver Ave.
Other event information
Course Time Limit
Stadium Stomp is not a timed event.
Participants will have until 2 hours after the last full course wave of the day to complete the full course. After this time, announcements will be made over the bowl mic and a member of the Stadium Stomp Operations team will direct any participants remaining on course to make their way down to the field of play to complete their finisher lap.
If there are minimal people on course and resources permit, consideration will be given by the Event Director to allow the participant(s) to continue in conjunction with either a Stadium Stomp volunteer or event staff member following them. NB. The course may be packed-down around participants as this process occurs.
To allow yourself the most time to complete the course, we recommend registering for an early wave time.
Stadium Stomp will go ahead rain or shine, barring any inclement weather conditions that would put the safety of the participants at risk. In the event of inclement weather, modifications to the route may be made to ensure everyone’s safety.
Check www.facebook.com/stadiumstomp for updates in the event of bad weather.

Event Day Expo
Participants, family and friends are welcome to wander through the Wellness Expo stands located inside the MA Noble Stand plaza.
Official event photographs will be taken by Supersport Images on the course and at the finish line. These will be available to view and/or purchase post-event via their website. Full Course (12 yrs +)
6700 stairs (up and down total): The course will take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2+ hours to complete depending on your fitness level. You’ll be repeating some of the course twice within the SCG to achieve the high stair count that is the full course. Note for previous stompers: With the demolition of Allianz Stadium course changes had to be made.
Short Course (12 yrs +)
4000 stairs (up and down total): The course will take anywhere from 30+ minutes to complete. This course will take you through most of the SCG experiencing both the upper and lower levels.
Stomp Unlimited (12 yrs +)
As many stairs as you dare: Stomp your way around the full course as many times as you dare from the first wave time until the last. This category is not for the faint hearted and numbers are strictly limited. You will be required to finish the course in full and head back to the start line to commence your subsequent laps. Earn an additional finishers medal each lap.

As you finish
As a final thrilling finish to your epic stomp, you’ll complete a lap of the SCG boundary line so you can soak up what you’ve just achieved.
Water stations and toilets
You are welcome to carry your own drink bottle around the course, however there will be water stations located throughout the course with four stations in total (including the finish line).
Please be aware that toilets will be open at each water station on course and in the main concourse/Expo area but will be locked elsewhere.
Withdrawing during the event
If you are unable to complete the course for any reason, please alert a Volunteer or staff member who will determine the safest way to exit the course and escort you back to the starting area.
Medical assistance and first aid
Qualified medical staff will be located around the ground to assist with any medical issues that may arise. If you spot someone needing medical assistance, please get the attention of the nearest volunteer who will then alert medical staff. Volunteers will all be wearing high visibility vests so will be easy to spot on course.
What to watch out for
It’s a concrete jungle out there! The stadium is full of twists and turns. Stairs will vary in height, width, gradient and the number of stairs per aisle depending on where you are climbing.
If it’s raining take extra care.
Rest and take a seat if or when you need to. This is permitted anywhere along the course.
Make use of the handrails – They help stabilise and double as a great arm work out!
If someone needs assistance, please alert a volunteer or staff member
