When we last provided you with an update it seemed we were moving into Covid-19 recovery mode and we were hopeful of re-scheduling Stadium Stomp Eden Park to late 2020.
Plans were on track; we had a new date (yet to be released) along with a qualified partner to assist us in delivering this event as our event staff are Melbourne based. And then, as you know, there was a re-emergence of the virus in August and subsequent restrictions.
Whilst the change in alert levels are promising, and we are all hoping that they continue to do so in Auckland, there is still much uncertainty particularly for mass participation events moving forward.
Therefore, with the ongoing public health concerns, challenges around venue availability combined with international border restrictions we are sorry to confirm that we cannot deliver a Stadium Stomp Eden Park event in 2020.
So we look towards 2021.
RESCHEDULING FOR 2021
In terms of scheduling dates for 2021, we’ll obviously need to wait until further restrictions are lifted and Eden Park has some certainty over their availability including the 2021 fixturing of Super Rugby. In the coming month we hope to have a better understanding of available dates.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOUR CURRENT REGISTRATION?
As previously communicated, we are working to offer a replacement date and event and to honour all registrations purchased for the Stadium Stomp at Eden Park this year. Once this has been finalised you will be invited to register at no additional cost when this event goes on sale. There is no need for you to take further action at this stage.
We understand that many people in the community have been impacted directly or indirectly by this virus and are doing it tough.
Therefore, if the option of a credit and retaining 100% of your ticket value doesn’t suit, please refer to our FAQs specific to this announcement which includes the offer a refund less $10.
We reassure you that our team, with the support of Eden Park and our charity partner Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand, are doing everything we can to ensure that you have the opportunity to take on the steps at Eden Park in 2021 when the time is right.
