Choosing to fundraise for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC) means you help patients like 23 year old Alex, who is diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia while studying for his engineering degree.

Alex had multiple rounds of chemotherapy, blood transfusions and his younger brother donated stem cells for a bone marrow transplant.  It was a tough journey but LBC was able to walk alongside his family with tailored support, as his mother Tamsin explains.

“I cried my eyes out when I found out Alex had leukaemia – he was only  just beginning his life!  Deb from LBC met with us to give advice and literature and I went along to her support groups.  A big thank you to LBC for the many services you offer to support those affected by blood cancer”.

Every dollar you fundraise for LBC will ensure patients like Alex can get the support they need to get through cancer. To find out more about fundraising as part of your Stadium Stomp experience, click here
